George Chobany has practiced as a Financial Advisor on the Central Coast for over 40 years. After graduating from The United States Military Academy at West Point, he served as an Infantry Officer in the US Army. While at his final assignment at Ft. Ord, George decided to change careers and enter what at the time was the new profession of Financial Planning. He earned his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification from the College for Financial Planning in 1983.
As banking deregulated on the 1990’s George served as one of the first investment officers and business investment consultants for a major national bank. In 1999, George returned to a private practice specializing in Financial Planning for individuals, as well as employee benefits and retirement plans for businesses. Most recently, George joined fellow West Point graduate Tim Brereton at Allied Wealth Management LLC.
George has continued to expand his knowledge in the financial planning field. The latest credential he earned is the AIF® (Accredited Investment Fiduciary) designation. He has also been active in the Financial Planning profession and the community. He was a founding member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) Monterey Bay Chapter, a board member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) and California Association of Health Underwriters (CAHU). In addition to serving on local community boards, George was also elected to a term as a City Council Member in Del Rey Oaks.
When he is not helping clients manage their health and wealth, George and Lucille enjoy travelling, the arts and taking advantage of all the benefits of living on the Central Coast.
